TMD Friction
TMD Friction Group is the world's number one manufacturer of brake friction materials in the auto¬motive and brake industry. Their product portfolio includes disc brake pads and drum brake linings for passenger cars and commercial vehicles, together with brake pads for racing and friction materials for rail and industry.
This fast paced and high profile group came to Alight with a request to facilitate some exciting projects across multiple brands within the group.
Our first project with TMD was for new brand ‘Mintex Xtreme’, assisting with web design and development, with ongoing support, advising on and establishing marketing strategies – competitions, user interactions and galleries etc. The first site was very successful - TMD were so impressed, they entertained Alight to an all expenses paid rally day by way of a thank you!
Alight later designed and developed of a high specification flash based interface that was positioned for use on the web, DVD and secure memory stick. The interface provided a detailed overview of each of the companies that TMD Friction own; Textar, Pagid, Dom, Mintex, Mintex Xtreme, and TMD Friction Worldwide. This was a mutli-lingual application in 8 languages including Russian and Chinese and was no mean feat to complete (but of course, only a small challenge for our technical whiz kids here at Alight!).
