Shapes of Virtu deal in artistic and exclusive photography which is lovingly printed onto high quality canvas. We were given carte blanche with Shapes of Virtu to design and build a bespoke e-commerce website that is very clear and simple to use, with no confusion on orders and costs.
Visually, our proposal was to showcase the photographic canvases in residential and commercial settings, giving the viewer a sense of context, place and style. The gallery is arranged so the user can peruse images by different genres, using a thumbnail gallery to scan and magnify images of interest. On a technical front, we created a hybrid site, using flash elements embedded within an XHTML frame, achieving an exciting interface, yet remaining completely search engine friendly – which is vital for any business needing to drive customers to their site.
